The Greene Business Alliance is a DBA established by the Greene County IDA Board of Directors to serve as an umbrella organization for several other entities that are conduits for many different forms of economic development.
The Greene IDA still exists in its current form but other legal entities have been established to provide the maximum flexibility and structure to seize business opportunities that create jobs and encourage private investment. These new and future entities include:
This strategy has been implemented to better address the challenges of attracting business and investment in today’s economy and in New York State, a high cost area. These new structures will provide a variety of avenues and strategies to get deals done to reach our ultimate goal of driving economic development.
The current Board of Directors for the Greene IDA will continue to prove leadership and oversight for the new organizations. All of which will be independently reviewed with monthly cash flow/activity statements and during the annual auditing process maintaining a significant level of financial and programmatic oversight.
